In a 91-72 beatdown of Oakland on Mar. 10, Frank Gaines put up 23 points and five rebounds for the Mastodons. He paces the team in points per game with 19.6, and steals per game with 1.4. For the Jackrabbits, Tony Fiegen finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds in the 66-49 win over IUPUI on Mar. 9. He contributes 5.6 rebounds per game in addition to his 9.9 points per game. From a tempo-free perspective, South Dakota State is strong in the following categories: turnover percentage at 15.9, effective field goal percentage at 53.7 and defensive rebounding percentage at 74.7.
